AMAZON_REVIEW_CAMERA

The Camera arrived on time and was as described - in fact, one extra
adapter was included, and a battery adapter, so that it was almost
immediately useable. I was not certain from the website description
of EXACTLY what I was getting, since the different page views and
descriptions were not the same --
The reason for this, I discovered, is that there are over 4 different
viewing "TV" monitors, and many different cameras, and a few different
adapters, power splitters, and connecting wires.
(( LOOK AT THE PHOTO BELOW WHICH SHOWS THE
INCLUDED COLOUR BOOKLET. IT SHOWS 4 DIFFERENT
MONITORS ! ))
Overall, this means that the descriptions are cut-and-pasted from different
configurations of the same general product. Since this process is done in
CHINA, there is a certain amount of "translation" error present.

In any event, the contents of the package are as follows:

SHIPPED_CONTENTS

Starting at the top, left, is the TV / MONITOR, which is a VIDEO-IN
(yellow co-axial "RCA" plug) which is common to almost any "MONITOR"
and a White AUDIO-IN co-axial "RCA" noting that this ONE-OF-4 versions
of the monitor DOES NOT HAVE the audio speaker and circuit connected
inside the MONITOR ! ! This version is originally used as a BACK-UP CAR
monitor, and does not need SOUND - in fact, sound would be rather annoying,
since the camera in the back of the car would pick up the sound at the front
and ECHO like crazy, causing FEEDBACK... For other applications,
such as the one that I am using this for, AUDIO ( sound ) would be
a good thing, so I will simply wire in the missing connections on the MONITOR,
and sound will work just fine. ( I already took apart the MONITOR to
see what was inside. -- Most people would not be able to wire up the
sound, but this is no problem for someone who works with electronics ).

TOP RIGHT, next to the MONITOR , is the 9 Volt power adapter, in this case
110 Volts to 9 Volts, typical North American. Both the CAMERA and
the ANTENNA RECEIVER "can" run on 9 Volts, but instructions indicate
that the RECEIVER works better with 12 Volts. The MONITOR works on
12 Volts, and I have not tried it on 9 Volts ( yet ).
(( NOTE BELOW FOR UPDATES ON THE POWER REQUIREMENTS))
NOTE that using 2 different
POWER SUPPLIES plugged into North American 110 Volts, and putting
out Switch-Mode regulated power, as supplied, causes a bit of interference
on the MONITOR, since there are TIMING cycles on each device, - the
camera itself, the RECEIVER, which is "de-coding" a signal over the airwaves,
and the MONITOR, which puts out scanning lines onto the screen at a
set frequency. The typical interference shows up as a faint bar of slight
haze slowly scrolling the screen. I can add a few chokes, capacitors, and
diodes here and there, and remove the interference, if I really want to,
however, by using my home-made battery-pack, all interference is gone.

Under the 9 Volt adapter is the 12 Volt adapter - I put white-out paint on the
end so that I can easily see which plug is which. The cords and adapters
are identical in appearance.

Under the 12 Volt power adapter is a PLUG CONNECTOR and a
length of wire with a RED and BLACK wire end - these can
be attached to anything you want - I connected them to a 12 Volt
battery pack, so that I can use the TV/MONITOR to view the
camera from anywhere nearby.

In the BOTTOM MIDDLE of the photo above, is the tiny camera,
with a power connector, and a short wire with a 9 Volt battery
connector ( The BATTERY, ORANGE , did not ship with the
unit - there are restrictions on battery shipments, and it is often
more reliable to get "NEW" batteries locally, which you "know"
are new and reliable. ) The TOP of the Camera has a silver wire
antenna coming out the top. This transmits both the SOUND
(AUDIO) and the VIDEO to the the receiver.
(( NOTE THE HUGE CANON BARREL PLUG AND
CONNECTOR FOR 9 Volt AND CAMERA ! --- THERE IS
A REASON FOR THIS, THAT IS NOT IN THE MANUAL ! ))

Finally, at the bottom LEFT of the photo, is the SILVER ( Aluminum)
RECEIVER, with an INCLUDED YELLOW and WHITE
connector cord, OUTPUTTING to the MONITOR ( The white
AUDIO is NOT connected inside the MONITOR on "THIS" version -
but I will connect it myself, likely through a switch, so that I can
"CHOOSE" if I want sound ). There is a black INPUT power jack
on the bottom, front of the RECEIVER - this is where you can plug
in either the 9 Volt adapter, the 12 Volt Adapter, or, in my case,
the 12 Volt battery pack. On the top of the RECEIVER, you can see the
black ANTENNA, and, on the TOP, RIGHT, a SILVER
DIAL - which rotates to "CHOOSE" a specific frequency of the
the INPUT from the CAMERA. Different CAMERAs will have
different FREQUENCIES so that you can have a few different
cameras running at the same time, and they will not interfere with each
each other.
(( PEOPLE ASK IF MULTIPLE CAMERAS CAN BE USED,
AND ARE ANSWERED "NO" - MEANING THE VIDEO
SCREEN CANNOT DIVIDE INTO 4 SECTIONS TO SHOW
4 CAMERAS "AT THE SAME TIME" -- but, YOU CAN TUNE
INTO 4 DIFFERENT CAMERAS THAT ARE ON DIFFERENT
FREQUENCY OUTPUTS -- ONE AT A TIME, WHICH IS A
"YES" TO THAT QUESTION ! ! ! In fact, you could look at
20 different cameras if they were on different frequencies ! ))
HOWEVER, the DIAL is "ANALOG" , ( not digital ) so that
"FINDING" the exact frequency is very sensitive, and you may have
to tune up and down the dial 10 times SLOWLY -- to have the
MONITOR show up with a picture ! The monitor is somewhat
annoying and employs a "modern" New-And-Improved method
that BLANKS the entire screen to solid BLUE, if, the monitor
"DECIDES" that the signal is not strong enough - this means that
you may tune up or down, right past the actual frequency 10 times,
since the the picture on the MONITOR will remain solid BLUE,
until the correct frequency "SITS" still at one spot, long enough to
"QUALIFY" as a strong signal. I set this unit up repeatedly, and
there was no "magic" that would "LOCK" the picture, the first time.
If the the monitor did NOT have the BLUE SCREEN default,
when you got "close" to the frequency, the FUZZ on the screen
would show the desired CAMERA picture slowly getting clearer
as you tuned towards the "LOCK" setting. AS it is, it is ALL-OR-
NOTHING.
(( THIS EXPLAINS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE GIVE
NEGATIVE REVIEWS - THEY QUICKLY TURN THE
TUNING DIAL UP AND DOWN , GET NOTHING, AND
SAY IT IS DEAD ! ! ! ))
The good news is, that once you do "FIND" the correct
frequency, the unit becomes more stable, and from that point,
it remains fairly constant - HOWEVER !,
if you change your position, or the
antenna, or move near another electronic device, the signal can
change, so that remaining in one spot after locking in the
signal is adviseable. Since I work with electronics, I am
simply patient and determined, and if you just tune up- and
-down, you eventually get a picture popping up on the BLUE
SCREEN.

There are "other" very similar camera systems that use a
DIGITALLY locked frequency, or use Wi-Fi- to transmit
reliably to ANY W-Fi device, or use BLUETOOTH, to
transmit to ANY Bluetooth device, or that send to a
specific TV CHANNEL, at a Specific frequency, to
ANY TV that is set at that channel, etc.
HOWEVER, that is exactly why I chose "THIS" setup -
I DO NOT WANT everyone with Wi-FI, Bluetooth,
TV, Android, or whatever, looking at the so-called "HIDDEN"
camera transmissions ! That would defeat the entire
point of having a tiny, "HIDDEN" camera !
I would have liked the MONITOR and RECIEVER to
be PRE-SET to a specific Channel of the Camera, at the
factory, but, with a bit of patience, this does work.
( I grew up with analog , Black-and-White TV that
you had to TUNE with 3 or 4 dials, and turn the antenna,
and fiddle with the antenna cables, etc. - we called it
FIDDLE-VISION ! - so that I am used to this type of
set - up ! )

BELOW is a close -up of the CAMERA - a
very tiny black module, which has a camera lens,
and a tiny hole for the MICROPHONE, and an
antenna on the top. There is a connector, Canon barrel type
with a plug and wire to a 9 Volt battery clip. The
camera is using a great deal of POWER to run the
VIDEO CHIP, and the MICROPHONE, and then MODULATE
the two signals into a Transmit Frequency Radio Wave,
and then shove it out the antenna - all this takes "POWER"
and a typical acid, inexpensive, 9 VOLT is extremely
taxed to maintain the power levels for more than 3/4 of
an hour or so. I typically take 2, 3, or 4, 9 Volts, and wire them
in Parallel ( all Positive ( + ) clips together, and all
Negative ( - ) clips all together), which gives the equivalent
of a 9 Volt battery that is 2, 3 or 4 times "BIGGER",
and it will last up to 4 times longer. That can give you
3 solid hours of transmitted audio and video in a single
session. You can also, if you see the photos below,
wire in "C" or "D" batteries, 6 of these would, in SERIES
give you 9 Volts, and would last much, much longer,
since they are just plain "BIGGER". - think about it,
how long would a huge CAR , 12 Volt battery last, compared
to a cigarette or doorbell 12 Volt battery ( the size
of your baby finger ) ? Bigger, at the same voltage, just
translates to "LONGER".
Since there is a Canon adapter on the Camera, you could
easily use ANY 9 volt adapter or 12 Volt adapter, and
simply plug it in to any power source, for continued,
24-hour video and sound. This is possible if you are installing
the camera in a light fixture or an EXIT sign, etc.
Since the Camera is compatible with a typical CAR, the
minimum and maximum usually associated with
automobiles is 10.5 Volts, to 14.0 Volts, so that if you
can get power in this range, from some device, you
are fine.

The 12 Volt Canon POWER is plugged in, and the white AUDIO is dutifully plugged
in, even though it is not connected inside the monitor !

BELOW is the MONITOR, the CAMERA, the RECEIVER, and batteries
that I purchased for the setup.

ABOVE, you note that the 3 packages of 3 "D" cells in SIZE is
much bigger than the 9 volt battery, and will power the unit for
a long time ! These inexpensive batteries are acid type,
and each three set costs $1 at the dollar store, so the cost is
very reasonable to do a test setup and analysis.

The BATTERIES used to set up and test, in total , cost
$4 at the dollar store :

To wire the "D" cells, first FILE a spot on the top and the bottom to allow easy soldering.

Then pre-cut and solder the ends of a set of wires:

Then, melt the solder on the wires into the solder dots on the batteries -- NOTE
that you NEVER solder bare wire onto a bare battery, since this quadruples the
amount of heat required, and can damage the battery or worse ! Always pre-solder,
and just quickly connect the solder spots !

Then pre-wrap sets into whatever shape you want - I want a CUBE of 3 by 3,
but you might want a different shape like one long row or sets of two stacked up.

I use typical clear cardboard box packing tape to finish the
cube of batteries - it is waterproof, strong, and you can SEE
if there is a problem ( like a broken wire, etc. )

BELOW - Finally - the CAMERA is taking a picture of the battery
pack connected to the MONITOR - so this works very well !
((NOTE that because the BATTERY PACK does not chop the electricity
like a wall power adapter, the VIDEO Screen is 100% clear ! ! ! ))

Now the entire battery and receiver and monitor can fit in my backpack,
so that I can monitor my apartment from a long way away, and see
if anyone is coming or going ! Works like a CHARM !

NOW, I do a test to see what the CAMERA will see if it is hidden in various places
that would typically be found in any home . . .

First I tried hiding the camera in plain sight, by a cup on a shelf - it helps if the object
you are near is BLACK and if there are shadows to hide the camera !

From a distance, even though the camera is completely visible,
it is almost totally "hidden" in day-to-day activities !

So here is a picture of what the camera sees from this view : ( note that it is difficult to
get a picture of the monitor and the room at the same time, since the camera
focuses on one point only, and the angle that you see the screen changes the
colours that the still camera sees . . .

The still camera focused in the distance, so the MONITOR view looks fuzzy - and the colours
are shifted to blue from the viewing ANGLE, but you get the idea...

NEXT, I tried putting the camera by the tv boxes - it is practically invisible under this lighting:

Next, I tried the camera in a hat on a shelf:

ABOVE, you can see the hallway and entrance that the camera sees from under the hat !

BELOW, I moved the camera to the bookshelf beside the CUP, and went into another room with
the battery pack and monitor to see the wireless transmitted picture - it
actually turned out very sharp and clear, so I was quite pleased !

Since there is no 110 Volt and 400 Cycle Switch mode power supply
pulsing interference, the picture on batteries is much more clear.
( NOTE that power adapters can use "other" cycles than "400".
Some will only use 80 to 100 times a second for low "Current" or
"Amperage" ( amount of power needed ). )

OK - what about OUTSIDE the apartment - for example, with people
coming and going who should not be there?

Just look for a convenient location to hide the camera. A wall plate is good, --
just get a used, identical plate ( they are all over the place in SURPLUS )
and drill a view hole, and set up the camera. If there is a power source,
so much the better !

Note that I would not advise non-electronically qualified people to mess
with this stuff ! However, someone with experience can easily
work with this stuff - live ! and have no worries !

This is an awesome way to see who is coming and going !
( note that the blue tinge is just the angle that the still
camera was viewing the screen ! )

Another nice place to put the camera - WITH lots of power, is in any
FIRE EXIT sign - just get an IDENTICAL face plate, install the
camera with a peep hole, and put back the original plate when you
are done - note the single screw in the bottom, middle , that allows the
front plate to drop down, and be replaced - with the 110 Volt
adapter, this spot allows 24 viewing of who is coming and going -
wonderful !

FIRE_EXIT

To install the camera VERY quickly, find a used EXIT sign - these are being replaced
with new GREEN exit signs that show a picture of a man running, so old ones are
found everywhere. BELOW is a used EXIT sign identical to the one shown above:

ABOVE: This is a used, old, identical EXIT sign. It originally was
installed in a building with 2 black, plastic, "Christmas Tree Style"
tiny sockets. The Left socket is still in place at the top. The CENTER
socket, twist-in style, is a 24 VOLT, battery Back-Up bulb, for
when the power went out. However, when a Back-Up Generator
was installed, the EXIT lights had a separate Fluorescent bulb
installed in a white socket, seen on the bottom Right. The metal
transformer puts out 300Volts needed to light the tube. Above the
EXIT sign are 2 BLUE wires, that are connected only to the Center,
connector, and are NOT used, since the battery power was dis-
continued. 2 Orange connectors tie in the wiring that used to go to
the RIGHT, TOP, socket, that was snapped out. The Top, Left
socket was left connected, and the bulb simply removed so that the
Fluorescent bulb was the only bulb running. All this hardware is
NOT needed, since I only wanted the FRONT panel, to mount the
camera, so that with one screw at the bottom, the FRONT panel
can be switched, with the camera, quickly and easily. . . Note that
there is a typical Nite-Lite placed in the EXIT sign at the top,
left, to show the hardware used to create a fast socket-and-base
adapter to quickly install, with 2 wires to power the camera.

bottom unit, shown above. Note the screw hole at the center, bottom.

The next step, ABOVE, is to tear apart a typical Nite-Lite, to get the screw-in
socket, and the Bulb holder to put back in the original, long 110 volt bulb
that was used in the working EXIT sign. I took an ordinary bulb and removed
the glass to get a brass SOCKET, and put it where it will end up - as shown on
the left , top, of the photo.

The Base of the bulb, and the SOCKET assembly, will allow the camera to
be placed on the inside of the drop-down Front Panel, where I drilled a new
hole. BELOW: a new hole drilled for the camera, shown on the bottom of the
metal section, in front of the cut-out for the "E".

BELOW: Using 5 minute EPOXY, I glued the brass bulb base onto the Nite-
Lite socket, to make a single unit that would screw into the existing bulb-
holder, and put the same EXIT bulb back in place, with the addition of 2 wires.

ABOVE: I use a small piece of cardboard to mix the 2 parts of the epoxy,
using a screwdriver blade ( in this case, my camping tool ). The epoxy wipes
off the steel blade easily (before 5 minutes!), and the cardboard is thrown out,
so there is no mess.

ABOVE: you can see the adapter, with two wires to power the camera, on the
bottom, made from a Nite-Lite, shown on the top. By screwing in the adapter,
the original EXIT bulb is QUICKLY put back in place, and 2 wires supply
the camera 110-to-8 Volt adapter, to power the camera -- all done without
having to touch the EXIT sign wiring at all. One screw slides off the old front
plate, the adapter is installed, and the New Front plate is put back (with a
camera ) in a few seconds. The front plate and Camera can be removed just
as fast, and everything put back to normal - with no trace of any modifications!
It takes a bit of time and effort to PRE-ASSEMBLE the front plate, but it
pays off when it is installed. Voila !

(( If I get time, I will show a couple of other installations, with modifications,
and pre-wiring examples. ))

ANYHOW, the camera, the receiver, the power adapters, the cables,
all work. The "TUNING" of the correct receiver frequency is
a task that some people may not put up with, but it eventually
does always work ! If you DO NOT WANT Bluetooth that
anyone can see, or Wi-Fi ( that anyone can see ) then this might
do the trick.

I know that, because the camera is SOOOOooooo small , people
will think of hundreds of places to put it!
There is also the possibility of INCREASING the antenna range,
supplying "OTHER" strange sources of power, etc. but
these topics are another chapter and can be found on the internet!

So overall, my review is positive, - The Camera did exactly what
it was described to do, and there were enough cables and adapters to
get started. I can make other cables, and power supplies and
connectors, since I work with electronics - If you have no other
resources you might need another power supply or another battery
to get started - right out of the box.. Since there a dozen different
cameras and monitors and cables, and wires, and adapters,
I cannot guarantee that whatever "YOU" get in the package will
be the "SAME". However, with this review, it may help to get you started.

NEW INFORMATION

I mentioned that I tore apart the electronics, in the review above, but
did not have time to go into details. One aspect of the internal electronics
warrants further explanation ! !

Opening up the little square camera box, yields a few surprises. The back of
the green circuit board has the round MICROPHONE in the top corner. The
Image Processor CPU can be seen. -- but the surprise is the WIRING. Note
that from the bottom of the photo there are 3 (THREE) wires coming from the
9 VOLT BATTERY CABLE ! ! ! ( The battery itself only has +9 VOLTS on
one wire, and the Black wire is "ground" or "negative" or ZERO volts. . . )
Also note the the top cover has 4 wires going from the camera to a black
plastic heat-shrink covered circuit board. Black goes to the 9 Volt battery
Black Wire (-), RED connects to the 9 VOLT BATTERY " YELLOW" wire,
and WHITE goes to an SMT (Surface Mount Technology = small) transistor
on the MICROPHONE Circuit. The YELLOW wire goes to the VIDEO
circuit on the Camera board. Out of the right hand side of the cap, you can see
the antenna wire.

ABOVE, you can see the 9 Volt cap connector with a RED and BLACK wire
going to the round CANON BARREL plug. This is straightforward and
predictable. The RED is industry-standard + (positive ) and the BLACK is
industry-standard (- ) negative, "zero volts", ground. This battery connector
plug fits into the huge black plastic connector that powers the camera. People have
commented that any TINY connector would have been easier to work with,
and much more convenient to "hide" the Camera -- I agree with this thought.

ABOVE I moved the wires to one side to look more closely at where they
are connected. From the TOP of the photo are the three (3) wires coming from
the 9 Volt cable. (Which clearly only has 2 wires going INTO it from the 9 volt
battery ! ) The Yellow wire from the top is directly connected to the RED wire
that goes to the Antenna circuit on the right. The BLACK wire is directly
connected to the BLACK wire going to the Antenna Board. (Ground to Ground)
THE RED WIRE from the top cable, coming from the BATTERY, goes to
a solder dot clearly marked " + 5 VOLTS " on the Camera green board ! ! !
This is "WHY ? " the black cable connector on the CAMERA input is so HUGE -
it has a 7805, 5 Volt power REGULATOR built into the plastic, hidden from
view! Thus . . . the CAMERA Circuits work on only + 5 volts -- NOT 9 volts,
and since this is sold as an Automotive Camera, The Camera is most definitely
NOT designed to work on + 12 Volts ! My poor quality general-purpose camera
has a terrible time trying to FOCUS on close objects, so the "+5 VOLT" white
print is difficult to capture.
THUS, AGAIN, the ANTENNA transmitter board, is designed for + 9 VOLTS,
directly getting power from the 9 Volt battery. THUS, you have a +5 Volt
Camera, and a +9 Volt Transmitter circuit Board. This opens up all sorts of
interesting POWER SUPPLY arrangements !!

ALSO - The raw SOUND and VIDEO output of the CAMERA can be
tapped into - so that you could "TAP" the Yellow ( VIDEO ) wire, and
the WHITE (AUDIO) wire, and directly MONITOR the camera output,
without transmitting, AND / OR , MONITOR the Camera at the source,
"AND" transmit, at the same time. This opens up some versatility in
"HOW" the Camera can be used. It also means that you could use a
DIFFERENT a Transmitter entirely, which could be POWERED by
a DIFFERENT power source as well! Simply tap in to the Yellow and
White wires ! There are hundreds of tiny TRANSMITTER boards
available, on hundreds of frequencies ( Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.) so the
possibilities are endless.

ALSO, there is no reason to be FORCED to use the huge CANNON
barrel connectors. There is a great deal of room in the Black Plastic
case for many sizes of 7805 +5 Volt regulators. You could just use
smaller wiring and connectors ( or wire directly, saving space ) , and
still get the correct power. You could use + 12 Volts, and wire in a
7809 +9 volt regulator, and the 7805 + 5 volt regulator !

In between 8000 Spam pages by Hacker/Spammer Skript_Kiddies, I
occasionally get online ! I have a great many more cameras of all sorts,
and will document them eventually, however, I can provide a bit more
information on the POWER Supplies needed to operate this camera in
hidden locations that have typical 110 Volt power - such as the EXIT
sign shown above. What is needed is either an 8 or 9 Volt Adapter that
puts out "DC" or Direct Current , and / or a typical USB type + 5 volt
adapter, if you want to power the camera separately. The 8 or 9 volt
adapter would use the built-in 7805 chip, hidden in the huge black
plastic canon plug, which would put out + 5 volts.

(( Another possibility, which I will Cover, is when you have a device WITH
a good +12 volt supply already installed - like some coffee makers - then
all you need is a typical 12 volt -to- + 5 volt USB adapter to power the
camera circuit board. The + 12 volts "CAN" go to the antenna transmitter
circuit board directly, if space is a premium ))

ABOVE : a standard white, 110 Volt AC - to - 5 Volt DC, USB type converter.
The Black Adapter is a typical 110 Volt AC ( Alternating Current ), -to-
8 Volts DC power. These are everywhere and can be quite inexpensive.

ABOVE : The two adapters opened up. The White 5 Volt shows two circuit
boards, joined by a BLUE capacitor ot the top. One board is 110Volts, the
other is the low voltage, + 5 volts. The Black +8 Volt converter shows a single
long board, with 110 Volts at one end (closest to two prongs), with the
transformer bridging the gap to the low voltage side of + 8 volts.

ABOVE: the White + 5 Volt adapter has a very typical switch mode power
supply arrangement. Two large capacitors and 4 diodes ( "Full wave Bridge
Rectifier " ) store a 110 Volt "DC" charge. The transformer, with a yellow
plastic cover, is turned ON and OFF anywhere from 86 to 400 times a second,
so the low voltage output ( the black and white wires going from one board
to the other ) is High Frequency ( 86 to 400 times a second) "AC" at just
over 5 Volts. It needs "more" than 5 volts, since the Voltage Regulator chip
( on the other side of the board ) needs a bit of power to operate, and the
DIODES ( which take 2 way AC power, and only let power go ONE way)
"use" a bit of power before they work. Once the + 5 Volt regulator controls
the DC power, It is buffered in the large aluminum Capacitor shown beside
the USB plug. ( you can go to my page on Power supplies to learn more :

The 8 volt adapter clearly shows the red and black, 110 volt wires
on the High Voltage side, and 4 diodes, chokes, ( a coil of wire on a black
metal dust ceramic core, that blocks sudden spikes in AC electricity ),
and the single, large capacitor that stores the converted AC , now in DC
110 Volts. The transformer, again, turns on and off anywhere from 86
to 400 times a second ( the faster the on/off switching, the more efficient
the power output ), and the output side, again goes through DIODES
so that the + 8 volts, regulated output, goes to a buffering Capacitor,
and finally out the yellow and black wires to the wire and canon plug.

ABOVE: On the bottom of the boards, you can see the electronic chips that
turn on-and-off the transformers, and that Regulate the output to the +5 and
+8 volts. There is actually a great deal of "high-tech" crammed into a very
small space.

ABOVE: I have removed the black plastic that was hiding the circuit board
and the 7805 regulator chip, to show why the canon plug was so HUGE - it
was half the volume of the entire camera ! People wondered why a tiny little
plug was not used. There is actually lots of room inside the camera for this
circuit board, which makes me wonder why they "separated" it so far from
where the power was needed - inside the camera - One possible explanation
is that the 7805 power regulator chip switches On-and-Off very quickly,
( there are 3 surface mount, tiny, capacitors on the circuit board to help take
take out the "spikes" - which can cause "noise" on the camera circuit, and
on the Antenna output circuit board. ) I have not had time to put the 7805
inside the camera, just to see what type of "noise" it produces, and I would
add bigger capacitors, etc., to smooth the + 5 Volts. However, I will power
this camera using an entire + 5 Volt supply ( the white adapter, above ), and
a separate + 8 volt supply, so there is no need for the mini-7805 regulator
at all. The elaborate circuits of the white USB adapter above, give a much
smoother, more reliable, + 5 volts.

ABOVE: You can see the tiny 7805. + 5 Volt regulator chip, with 3 pins on
one side, and between two pins, there is a tiny, black capacitor, that smooths
out some of the spikes in the electricity. The circuit has the absolute minimum
number of electronic parts needed to work.

ABOVE: you can see, on the bottom of the board, two tiny capacitors, which
again, smooth out some of the "spikes" in the +5 volt output. On the output
side of the board, going to the black plastic cord to the camera, you see the
single, wire connection, - the "ground"- on this side. The "ground" on the
shiny metal canon barrel, is on the other end of the board. If you look at the
photo above this, on the other side, notice that there are TWO output solder
connections going to the black output wire, but the canon barrel jack only
has ONE, center, connection -- thus the canon has the center ( + 9volt to
up to +12 to +14 volts of a car ), and the outter "ground" -- But, the output
to the black plastic wire has THREE connections - Ground, + 5 volts, and
the raw input of +8 ( nominal ) volts, either from the + 9 Volt battery, or
from a car, at +12 volts to +14 volts. Now that I know this, I would put
a + 8 to + 9 volt REGULATOR ( even a 7809 chip! ) on the power line,
in a car, so that the antenna circuit board did not get "too much" power.

FINALLY : when I get around to it, I will show, step-by-step, how to install
the camera in a typical COFFEE maker. There is lots of room in a coffee
machine, and it is typically sitting there, plugged in, all the time, so that
it makes a very nice place to hide this camera! -- 24 Hour surveillance at
its best!

ABOVE: This is typical of most coffee machines - again,
just like the electrical face plates, and EXIT signs, get an
identical model to work on, and switch in the "CAMERA"
model on an "AS NEEDED" basis. The rest of the time, the
machine is the same-old machine it always was, and there
is less chance of the camera being discovered - a perfect
situation ! This type of machine can be found very cheaply
at any THRIFT type store, since people often want a newer,
more expensive one, or even a different colored one, when
they renovate! There is a lot of room inside to work with, so
this makes an excellent project. The BLACK colour, also
hides the microphone, and the tiny, black hole, for the
camera lens. More on this later !

with ! The camera can fit in dozens of places.

Illegal hacker/spammers have jammed the internet with so much garbage,- typically
3000 web pages with my name, "robindustygraves" that I deliberately created the
web site " ROBINDUSTYGRAVES.COM" to re-direct some of the traffic BACK
to my real web pages. On the DAY (2014) that I renewed "KIDBOTS.COM" the illegal
hacker/spammers PURCHASED a dozen new fake web sites, and put on hundreds of
pages of spam - all containing the word " robindustygraves ", which now show up in
a typical search by GOOGLE, BING, YANDEX, and YAHOO ! These replace the
old major spam web site EKEWO.IN, which they let expire...

Because illegal hackers have decided to spam the name
" robin dusty graves" or " robindustygraves "
I have decided to use the same tactics that they use, and load
my REAL web pages with the key search words that would be used
by search engines such as Bing, Yahoo, Google, etc.

As it now stands, searches are re-directed illegally and maliciously by
spammers, who create thousands of fake web pages, that Microsoft's;
BING.com, for example, found and displayed for many months after
the last set of 'new and improved' registrations of new illegal, malicious
spam web sites, each with " robindustygraves.html " included,
- while at the same time, BING, in a search, refused to find
DUSTYGRAVES.COM or ROBINDUSTYGRAVES.COM when searching for
'robindustygraves' ! ! ! Go figure.
( This demonstrates that the spammer/hackers clearly understand the
algorithms used by Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, etc., and tailor the
fake web pages to achieve high placements on the search engines.
Google and Bing have changed their algorithms, while Yandex always
used a different algorithm, and seemed to achieve higher valid results
on the first search pages. However, the hacker/spammers are always
very close behind in developing better spam . . . )
The fake web pages re-direct to pornography, PAY-PER-CLICK websites,
that the spammers get paid a fraction of a penny for each person who
accidentally clicks on them, pages selling illegal prescription drugs
without prescriptions needed,and to pages where the SERVER is deliberately
set up to spam with POP UPS that state things like " MICROSOFT
WINDOWS ANTI-VIRUS HAS DETECTED A VIRUS - CLICK HERE to continue
Scanning, and Remove the VIRUS" - If you click on ANYTHING,
--the little "X" in the top corner to close, the box on the bottom that
states "CLOSE", -- any action besides CTRL-ALT-DELETE ( to bring up
the Windows Task Manager, to CLOSE your Browser entirely! ) it will
download a virus that generates a continual barrage of fake VIRUS
warning alerts, that demand Visa and Mastercard to remove- If you are
foolish enough to actually GIVE your Visa or Mastercard, the information
is used to make illegal purchases, AND the virus is NOT removed!
Many fake web re-directions take you to a page that appears to
"LOAD" for a long time with an hour glass or "now loading" ICON, but,
while that is happening, your IP address, your specific geo-loacation,
your specific information on YOUR computer, etc. is being gathered,
and by the time the fake web page actually loads, often with a FAKE web
"SEARCH PAGE" ( Pay-per-click), your computer is already compromised,
and is subject to further hacking from that point onwards... This SNOOPER
software was developed and is used by gaming companies like Electronic
ARTS, to completely analyse a "Customer's" computer when they log into
an online game. It looks at every possible scrap of information on the
computer, such as the video card used, the mouse, the CPU chip serial
number, and all software, etc. If the "customer" changes a mouse or
part, the software can BAN the player, claiming that the game is being
illegally copied on "some other" computer... Now, of course, the
technology is used by hacker/spammers to snoop all computers that
accidentally are diverted to illegal, malicious, fake, web pages. The
computer is then put on a LIST of computers marked for further hacking.
The software also looks for all OPEN or UNLOCKED communication
channels ( ports ) that can be attacked... great stuff.

ROBINDUSTYGRAVES.COM is created just to prevent the SPAMMERS from registering it, and
causing more problems.
I will update the Hackers and spammers illegal activities here, and make suggestions to others, on
how to deal with malicious, illegal, fraudulent, deliberate spamming and fake use of a WEB name!

South Africa was just given a 'new' DOT COM , .ZA , and someone made 624 new, fake web pages
all containing " robindustygraves" ... Thankfully, the administration at " . ZA " immediately removed the
illegal activity, but, illegal web pages in India, Russia, Scottsdale Arizona, Denver Colorado, (name.com)
etc. still remain, and it will
be a while before these are removed. GOOGLE.COM even had an illegal page, served BEHIND its
own, internal, SECURE, HTTPS server! Large corporations like D-LINK had spammer pages in its
"USER" comment pages, however, being a "real" corporate entity, they immediately removed all the illegal
and malicious pages from their website, when I contacted them. Fake websites such a "mac user forum.com"
re-directed people to spam, pay-per-click, viruses, trojans, pop-ups, porn, etc. and each request
I made to delete pages with my name - resulted in MORE fake pages being made. ( Contacting
the deliberate spammer merely VERIFIED that my information was valid, and hence they
capitalized on that valid presence to create MORE spam!)
I contacted APPLE.com, and 'THEY" shut down the fake website immediately! (I wish
I had that kind of power! )

Were there such a thing as a website with a bedside manner, it would surely
be www.uk-online-pharmacy.com.
With its crisp design and the photograph of six white-coated pharmacists smiling
out at you, there seems little doubt that this is the real thing. Respectable. Dependable.
Solid. And it seems so much more efficient than your regular pharmacist.

Here, you can get whatever you want without the hassle of going to your doctor
for a prescription. Need pills for diabetes, cancer or high blood pressure? No problem.
Want medication for those embarrassing ailments - impotence, hair loss, obesity?
Just punch in your credit card details.

So, what can be done about illegal online pharmacies?
Well, not much. It is not uncommon for the crooks who set them up to
be based in, say, Russia, to have their pills made in India and
packaged on the South Pacific island of Vanuatu.
The computer server that processes their business could be in the
U.S. and their bank in Panama.

You can have 60 pills for $259 (£176). That's just $4.32 (£2.94) per tablet!
But hang on a minute.
Why is a site called uk-online-pharmacy charging in dollars, and why is there no address
or phone number listed? If you have the common sense to ask yourself these questions
before you use drugs from sites such as these, you might just be saving your life.
For this is a world of self-medication and fake drugs, a world where at best you may be
conned, and at worst you could end up dead.

According to the World Health Organisation, the trade in illegal and counterfeit drugs is
worth £18 billion a year - though some investigators believe the figure is much higher -
and it may be responsible for as many as half a million deaths worldwide.

And if you are foolish enough to buy online, the same organisation estimates your chances
of being sold fake medication at higher than 50-50.

Last year, enforcement authorities from 42 countries seized more than 11.1million
counterfeit tablets, capsules and vials - a 28.9 per cent increase over 2007.

The dangers of buying drugs online were highlighted last week during an inquest into
the death of 22-year-old Amy Pain, daughter of the Venerable Richard Pain, Archdeacon
of Monmouth.

been buying for insomnia, anxiety and
stomach aches

The Archdeacon found Amy dead in bed last October following an apparent accidental
overdose of online pharmaceuticals she had been buying for anxiety, stomach ache and insomnia.

During the inquest, the Gwent coroner David Bowen expressed concern over the ease
with which prescription-only drugs could be bought over the internet without a prescription
and said he would be contacting the relevant authorities to highlight the dangers.

In fact, the relevant authority in the UK, the Medicines And Healthcare Products Regulatory
Agency (MHRA), already knows about the dangers, but is drowning in a sea of internet
pharmaceutical fakery which it's almost powerless to stop, an organised crime wave that
carries lower prison sentences than narcotics trafficking but which is many times more lucrative.

'If you go to South America to buy a kilo of cocaine, it is likely to cost you thousands of pounds
even if you aren't killed before you manage to buy it,' said Jim Thompson, director of the UK
based campaign group European Alliance For Access To Safe Medicines (EAASM).

'But you can buy a kilo of sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, for £35 and make 10,000 10mg
tablets that sell illegally for around £10 each over the internet. That's a profit of almost £100,000.
It's much more lucrative than class A drugs and the penalties for getting caught are much lower.'

(All of which helps explain the spam email advertisements for 'Viagra' with which most computers
are bombarded every day.)

In the UK, unlicensed individuals who trade in prescription medicines may be charged with
offences under the Medicines Act which carry a maximum of just two years in prison and/or an
unlimited fine.
The financial rewards for making a fake version
of Pfizer's Viagra, are much higher than
making class A drugs ( ILLEGAL NARCOTICS )
If, in turn, they are counterfeiting patented drugs, they face a maximum of ten years in prison
and an unlimited fine under the Trade Marks Act.
These penalties are much lower than for class A drug-trafficking. Last August, for example,
two men were sentenced to a total of 27 years at Nottingham Crown Court for money-l
aundering and trafficking in heroin, ecstasy and amphetamines.
The threat posed by fake drugs is serious.
Last year, a team led by Mr Thompson bought 36 batches of drugs online and found that
almost two-thirds were counterfeit or of dangerously poor quality. They included the asthma
drug Seretide, the high blood pressure pills Micardis and Coversyl, the schizophrenia
medication Zyprexa, and the Alzheimer's treatment Aricept.
There were also Viagra pills for erectile dysfunction, the anti-obesity drug Reductil, the
anti-ulcer medication Zoton and many others.
One delivery, for 16 Plavix heart pills (which were real), came wrapped in a copy of the
Mumbai Daily News. There were no patient instructions, but there were two free Viagra
pills (which turned out to be fake) and a letter thanking the buyer for their custom.
'If it wasn't so terrifying, it would be almost funny,' said Mr Thompson. 'Plavix is for people
who have recently had heart attacks, strokes or heart surgery. To take a Viagra pill would
probably kill them.'
The team also checked out 116 websites purporting to sell prescription drugs. Of those,
102 were prepared to sell without sight of a prescription.
This is illegal in the UK. There are genuine pharmaceutical websites such as Boots and Lloyds,
but you must mail them a prescription before they will send you your medication.
'Any site that offers prescription drugs without a prescription is dangerous,' said Mr Thompson.
'And so are the drugs that they sell. If you buy them, you're playing Russian roulette. The last pill
may not have killed you, but maybe the next one will.'
So, what are the consequences? First of all, fake drugs - obviously not all bought online - cause
huge numbers of deaths.
Investigators report finding pills made from rat poison, cement,
floor polish, chalk, rice flour, lead paint and concentrations of real active ingredients
that are so low or so high as to be dangerous .
The World Health Organisation estimates that as many as one-third of all drugs in developing
countries may be fake.

In China alone, up to 300,000 people a year are
thought to die because of substandard and fake
medication. It is also believed that a fifth of the one
million malaria deaths every year could be avoided
if patients had access to genuine pharmaceuticals -
rather than fakes.

In the West, deaths caused by internet fakes tend to come in ones and twos, not in the thousands.
Among those reported recently are a 58-year-old Canadian who died
after taking fake sleeping pills laced with strontium, arsenic,
aluminium and uranium;
a man from Chicago who almost died
after taking a fake Xanax tablet for anxiety which contained four times the normal amount of
active ingredients; and an American woman who died after taking counterfeit medication laced
with aluminium.
According to Archdeacon Pain, it is not thought any of his daughter Amy's medication contained
anything that it shouldn't have. He will not say exactly what pills she was taking, but he will say
what type; for anxiety and problems sleeping. She had suffered from anxiety for many years.
'Amy had had problems over a long period of time, but at the time of her death she was happy and
content,' he told me.
'In common with a lot of people who self-medicate, she was wise and intelligent and had done a lot
of research into her problems and the medication available, and I know she was buying medicines
that had been prescribed for her in the past.
'My wife, Julie, and I have reflected on this and our concern is that it is young and vulnerable
people who are likely to be attracted to buying medicine on the internet. And perhaps those
with mental health issues who feel the need to take control of their lives find that this is one such
way of taking control.'
Amy might have been one of the lucky ones to receive genuine medication, but Archdeacon
Pain says she was not getting prescriptions from a doctor and, therefore, her intake was not
being monitored.
He believed she was going to reputable websites -
but if they were dispatching drugs to the UK
without prescriptions, then, by definition,
they were not operating legally.
'I would advise anyone against using websites that offer prescription medicines without a
prescription,' said Archdeacon Pain.
'We believe Amy's medication was genuine, but it would appear that many of them aren't.
Not only is that a cause for concern, but without seeing a GP you might be taking certain
combinations of medicines that could be dangerous.'
So, what can be done about illegal online pharmacies?
Well, not much. It is not uncommon for the crooks who set them up to

Since 1994, the Medicines And Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has brought 11 successful
prosecutions in the UK against 18 individuals for involvement in the supply of counterfeit medicines.
A further three prosecutions involving six people have been brought by the Crown Prosecution
Service and there are six more prosecutions pending involving nine defendants.
But, in reality, most offenders are based overseas, so there is little the authorities here can do.
Steve Allen, a former detective sergeant with the National Crime Squad, is senior director of
global security at Pfizer, the world's biggest pharmaceuticals company and the manufacturer of
Viagra and the anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor, the two drugs most copied by criminals.
He said: 'We might find a website selling pharmaceuticals illegally and have it closed down
one day, but then it will just pop up with another name the day after.
'It is such a lucrative business that very organised criminals are involved whose activities go
largely unchecked. We advise customs authorities around the world on what to look for but, in
fairness, they spend most of their time looking for cocaine, heroin and ecstasy, or for signs of
people-smuggling or arms-dealing. They're not really on the lookout for people carrying cases of
fake medicines.'
All those I spoke to felt UK legislation was sufficient to deal with bogus drugs being sold here,
but British law does not extend to websites being run in Third World countries where there is little
or no regulation.
Instead, they believe the answer is to warn people to go nowhere near such sites, to have regard
for their money and their health.
'Many of these pills are made in dirty backstreet laboratories in places like China or Afghanistan,'
said David Pruce, director of policy at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. '
And some of the operations have been linked to organised crime and even terrorism. Some of the
websites might appear to be respectable, but if they are prepared to supply you with prescription
medicines without a consultation or a prescription, then they are operating illegally.
'If they were operating legally then they would have a bricks-and-mortar address, a telephone and
the name of at least one pharmacist whom you can call. If they don't - and they rarely do -
then you would be advised to have nothing to do with them.'

So, what of www.uk-online-pharmacy.com? In fact, it
is not based in the UK at all, but was registered on
September 22, 2006, by an organisation called
DomainsByProxy.com based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

When I called to ask who was behind the online pharmacy and where they were based, one of its
sales and support staff, Randi Caywood, said: 'DomainsByProxy is a means by which people can
withhold their information and it would be against the law for me to give you any details about that
account. 'Randi suggested I make a complaint on her company's website, which I tried to do,
explaining that it was illegal to provide prescription drugs in the UK without a prescription.
But the site told me that all the details I had entered, from my email address to my phone number,
were invalid, and refused to process my complaint.
I shouldn't really be surprised.
From start to finish, this is a pretty sick business - preying on people
willing to risk their health in the
hope of making themselves feel better, however illegal the methods

to HONG KONG, and the quote was $500 for the machine molds

We got bogged down with world wide PATENTS, and to our dismay
and amusement, we discovered our 'prototype' in novelty stores,
only a few months later, shipped from Hong Kong, with the address
of a company in Great Britain! (SEE the upcoming, VANCOUVER THIEVES ! ,
which will be a huge folder when finished..) It was copied exactly
as we sent it - complete with flaws!... In a colourful box with a cellophane
window... For about the price of the empty box in Canada!

The fake web pages re-direct to pornography, PAY-PER-CLICK websites,
that the spammers get paid a fraction of a penny for each person who
accidentally clicks on them, and to pages where the SERVER is deliberately
set up to spam with POP UPS that state things like " MICROSOFT
WINDOWS ANTI-VIRUS HAS DETECTED A VIRUS - CLICK HERE to continue
Scanning, and Remove the VIRUS" - If you click on ANYTHING,
--the little "X" in the top corner to close, the box on the bottom that
states "CLOSE", -- any action besides CTRL-ALT-DELETE ( to bring up
the Windows Task Manager, to CLOSE your Browser entirely! ) it will
download a virus that generates a continual barrage of fake VIRUS
warning alerts, that demand Visa and Mastercard to remove- If you are
foolish enough to actually GIVE your Visa or Mastercard, the information
is used to make illegal purchases, AND the virus is NOT removed!
Many fake web re-directions take you to a page that appears to
"LOAD" for a long time with an hour glass or "now loading" ICON, but,
while that is happening, your IP address, your specific geo-loacation,
your specific information on YOUR computer, etc. is being gathered,
and by the time the fake web page actually loads, often with a FAKE web
"SEARCH PAGE" ( Pay-per-click), your computer is already compromised,
and is subject to further hacking from that point onwards...

So far, this winter, I am NOT far enough South... Just as the weather
